From the very beginning, we have supported farming methods that respect nature and the environment. That is why we only offer organically grown teas and herbs. We believe this approach is better for our planet, and it matters especially for plants that are not washed before brewing.

Quality assurance

Quality checks : Our importers inspect the teas and herbs arriving in Europe and check that they meet European requirements. We then inspect every delivery at our workshop. Each product is therefore checked several times.

Organic certification : Our organic business is certified by Ecocert France. An auditor checks our labelling, sourcing, storage, product quality and preparation processes twice a year. Random samples are also taken for analysis to ensure that the standards are being met.

Grown in France

Since 2021, we have been proud to add a selection of herbs traditionally grown in France, including mint, lemon balm, verbena, thyme, rosemary, fennel, raspberry leaf and lavender.

Our environmental approach

Preparing orders at Chabiothé

Compostable pouches

All our pouches are compostable, apart from the 2 kg packs. They are also resealable and reusable, so you can bring them back to our workshop to be refilled.

Shelves at the Chabiothé workshop

No individual sachets

We sell our products in larger packs to reduce packaging waste. Rather than individually wrapped teabags, we encourage customers to use reusable tea filters.

Reusing packaging at Chabiothé

Reused cardboard boxes

We give our suppliers' packaging and our neighbours' cardboard boxes a second life. Your tea might arrive in a box originally used for books or DIY supplies — a small surprise that is kinder to the planet.
