Our tropical fruit black tea recipe
As keen travellers, we wanted to create a black tea blend that would bring back memories of sunshine and holidays. What better way than to combine organic mango and pineapple with tea for a little taste of the tropics?
As with many of our recipes, we use Assam black tea as the base. Its full-bodied, slightly tannic character pairs beautifully with the sweetness of exotic fruit. We add real pieces of mango and pineapple for a rounded, fruity flavour, along with natural tropical fruit flavouring to bring out the sweet and tangy notes. Finally, bright cornflower and marigold petals provide a colourful contrast to the dark tea leaves.
How to prepare tropical fruit black tea
- 🌿 Hot tea: use 4 g of tea for 30 cl of water heated to approximately 90–95°C. Leave to infuse for 3–5 minutes. A little milk or honey can be added if you prefer.
- ❄️ Iced tea: infuse in cold water in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Add pieces of fresh peach, pineapple or lemon to taste.
Whether served hot or cold, this fruity black tea offers a flavourful alternative to sugary soft drinks when enjoyed without added sugar.
Open the pouch and savour the inviting scent of tropical fruit. The notes of mango and pineapple make this an especially refreshing choice for warm summer days.
About black tea
Black tea contains naturally occurring polyphenols, caffeine and L-theanine. These compounds contribute to its flavour and stimulating character. If you are sensitive to caffeine, adjust your serving size and avoid drinking it late in the day.
