Disposable Paper Tea Filters

These paper filters are designed for single use, unlike reusable metal infusers. Made from unbleached paper, they contain no chlorine bleach and are described by our supplier as compostable. They are convenient for brewing loose leaf tea without changing its characteristic flavour.

Easy to take anywhere, they are a practical way to prepare loose leaf tea when travelling, at work or even camping in the Alps — we have tried that ourselves! Once the infusion is ready, simply dispose of the used filter appropriately. No washing-up required.

Features of our paper tea filters

Food-grade paper: unbleached paper intended for contact with tea and herbal infusions.
Easy to use: simply fill, steep and discard after use.
Generous size: suitable for cups and many teapots. Dimensions: 18 × 8 cm (medium size; updated in May 2026). A box contains 100 filters.

How to use paper tea filters

Open the filter carefully and add the desired quantity of tea (as a guide, about one teaspoon for a cup or two tablespoons for a teapot). Place the filled filter in hot water and steep according to your tea's brewing instructions. Remove the filter when the tea is ready. Dispose of it in accordance with your local composting or waste collection guidance.
